organization and planning. Each student will receive individually customized tutoring plan
with embedded cognitive training, based on presenting learning problems. Cognitive training
portion of tutoring will be in addition to the regular tutoring goals, such as improving grades
in reading, writing, math, algebra, biology, geometry, science, and other subjects or raising
scores on SAT, L- SAT, MCAT, or GRE tests. Moreover, students will be instructed on how
to practice the strategies introduced in the tutoring session to assist them with math,
reading, and other homework. This component of our tutoring process adds a very unique
value to your learning goals, as it effectively improves learning, provides continuity of the
tutoring process that helps generalize learned skills to various subjects, and brings tutoring
effect right to your door step.

high schools and colleges or universities such as Yale, Brown, Harvard, Princeton, Fordham,

and GRE or SAT test scores. Some of our tutors are currently pursuing graduate study at
top universities and tutor subjects they major in (e.g., math, geometry, physics, biology, etc).
Some of our tutors are certified mainstream or special education teachers or are in training
to become one. No matter who your tutor is at the Brain Academy, you can be sure that your

Cost for one individual, private tutoring session is $99. This cost includes individualized
tutoring sessions for 1 full hour. In addition, we do a lot of work behind the scene before and
after your tutoring sessions. Prior to your session, Dr.Danov and the tutor work out a highly
individualized plan to improve student’s cognitive skills, remediate cognitive problems and
learning disabilities, decrease attention deficit, and improve grades in a given subject (such
as math, biology, reading, geometry, or physics). After the session, Dr.Danov and the tutor
review student's progress and response to given cognitive training in order to adjust the
level of difficulty and complexity of the next session. In a word, tutor and Dr.Danov work very
hard to make sure that the tutoring helps you or your child succeed despite learning
disability, ADHD, specific learning problems, or cognitive problems involving attention, slow
reading, memory, focus and organization.

If you want your child to undergo an initial Cognitive Testing, Educational Evaluation, IQ
Testing or Academic Assessment, by our Learning Specialists, consider various packages,
which are customized based on your needs. These assessments and evaluations objectively
measure child and adult cognitive and academic skills in relation to age norm and grade
level (see Assessment page). You may also find out whether you or your child need extra
time on tests. Having extra time to complete math, reading, biology, physics, SAT, GRE,
LSAT, MCAT, state-wide or other tests can raise your test scores. Typically, extra time
means 50% more time on a test. Extra time on tests will allow you compensate for attention
deficit, poor memory, organization and focus, test anxiety, poor study skills and test taking
skills. By compensating for these cognitive difficulties, you may get a higher score on math,
reading, biology, physics, SAT, GRE, L-SAT, MCAT, state-wide, or another test.
We also offer IQ testing for GIFTED CHILDREN who want to apply for GIFTED PROGRAMS
and to identify specific cognitive problems and learning needs. Some gifted children and
adults have poor organization and memory, weak test taking skills, test anxiety, or attention
deficit that limit their academic achievement in math, reading, biology, physics, or on SAT,
GRE, state-wide or another test. Assessment and evaluation will determine these learning
problems and will help remediate learning problems to help the gifted child or adult get better
grades and test scores and improve work performance.
